Meet MILO, Your AI Coach
24 JULY 2026
Around 540 BC, in the Greek colony of Croton, a young wrestler picked up a newborn calf and carried it across his shoulders. The next day he did it again. And the day after that.
The calf grew. So did he.
By the time the calf was a bull, Milo of Croton could carry a bull — and he went on to become the most decorated wrestler of antiquity: six Olympic titles, seven Pythian crowns, and a string of legends that grew as tall as he was strong.
Strip away the myth and what remains is the first recorded training principle in history: add a little load, recover, repeat. The calf got heavier by roughly the same small amount each week. Milo adapted, and adapted again, until the impossible weight was just Tuesday.
Twenty-five centuries later, every serious strength method still runs on Milo's idea. We call it progressive overload now. Most lifters know it. Almost nobody applies it with any discipline — loads go up on good days, stall on bad ones, and nobody remembers what they lifted three weeks ago.
Why our coach carries his name
GOHVY's AI coach is called MILO because it does exactly what the calf did: it makes sure the weight is right every single session.
- Hit 8 or more reps to absolute failure, and MILO raises your next target.
- Land in the 4–7 range, and it holds the weight until you earn the increase.
- Fall to 3 or below, and it deloads you 10% so you can rebuild momentum.
No guesswork, no ego lifts, no forgotten numbers. Your logged result decides the next load, exactly the way the growing calf decided Milo's.
And because MILO is grounded in your actual training history, you can ask it real questions — "are my squats improving?", "was my recovery long enough?", "find my stalled lifts" — and get answers built from your own numbers, not generic advice.
One set. A growing bull. Nothing else.
Heavy Duty training and Milo's calf are the same philosophy from opposite ends of history: one hard, progressive stimulus, then recovery, then a slightly heavier one. GOHVY automates the whole loop — MILO tracks the load, the app enforces the recovery.
Your bull is waiting.
